The languishing comedy Pierre Pierre has been given a new lease on life, with Foresight Unlimited boarding the project. We first reported on Pierre Pierre back in July 2010, when star Jim Carrey and director Larry Charles joined the film.

The story centers on a self-centered French man (Jim Carrey) who hatches a plan to steal the Mona Lisa from The Louvre in Paris, so he can finally move out of his parents' house. Foresight Unlimited is teaming with Mandalay Vision and Lago Films, and have already lined up sales in international territories at the Berlin Film Festival.

Larry Charles is directing Pierre Pierre from a script by Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton. Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Matthew Rhodes, Cathy Schulman, and Marco Mehlitz are producing.

Production is scheduled to begin this summer in Germany.

Pierre Pierre is in development and stars Russell Brand. The film is directed by Larry Charles.
