"He's going to make A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey," Hoskins says of the director he previously worked with on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. "He wants me to play Mr Fezziwig. He's doing in that way he did The Polar Express. You stand in a box with that funny suit on and it reads everything you do...Am I going to do it? Of course I am!"
No word on when the film will arrive in theatres.

It appears that Jim Carrey will be playing not only ebenezer scrooge in this film, however he will be playing all of the ghosts as well. Might as well call it "A Christmas Carrey"

yea, he brings a lot of creativity and color to all roles he plays in.. he's like a white will smith.. any movie he stars in usually makes for a hit. so, the real question comes down to, will his hair be long, like 23, or short like fun with dick and jane.

exactly. but its Carrey this time. it has potential and i agree with J. all the W. that was a bad ass movie. watched it alot even during the summer nites end. the only holiday movie i cared for. but how funny will it be. i have no idea what to expect from this news but i know jim will bring some flying energy as always.

I dont think any Christmas-themed movie can restore ones pride. Especially if you continue to shoot things with the same CGI effects. Beowulf didn't suck because of the story, the story kicks ass, it was primarily the CGI effects that did it in. Which is why I'm skeptical of this.

forget that, I plan to be running the projector should this hit big. And the reason I havnt seen one is because of movies like "Christmas with the Kranks", "The Santa Clause 2 and 3", and all the Holiday movies directed towards the black community that tank. The last true Christmas movie I enjoyed was "Jingle All the Way" with Arnold and Sinbad. Love that flick, TURBOMAN!

I cant see them capturing it, I'm pretty sure it will bug the hell out of me.. I mean just try to picture Jim Carrey in CGI, or like beowulf.. I just cant see it.

yeah im not sure either. christmas movies bug me. and so do any holiday movies for that matter. it feels like you can only watch them during that time of the year otherwise it throws of your rythm. like a xmas story...never watching it on halloween again...
