Lionsgate has picked up the thriller, The Eye from Paramount with Cruise/Wagner producing. They are also in negotiations with Jessica Alba to star in the movie.

The film is a remake of 2003 Hong Kong film, The Eye about a cornea transplant recipient who sees disturbing images in the mirror that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye's previous owner, says Variety.

The studio is also in talks to have David Moreau and Xavier Palud direct the remake of The Eye. It will shoot this winter, directly after Alba finishes shooting Fantastic Four 2.

The Eye was released June 6th, 2003 and stars Angelica Lee, Lawrence Chou, Jinda Duangtoy, Yut Lai So, Candy Lo, Edmund Chen, Yin Ping Ko, Florence Wu. The film is directed by Oxide Pang Chun, Danny Pang.
