Jeremy Piven and Kate Walsh have boarded the indie ensemble drama Waska, from On A Clear Day director Gaby Dellal.

According to Variety, Thomas Dekker, Lynn Collins, Mira Sorvino, Elizabeth McGovern and Joseph Morgan also star. Catherine Trieschmann penned the script based on the novel "Angels Crest" by Leslie Schwartz.

The story centers on a young father who loses his son, throwing the community into disarray at the time of Waska -- the first snowfall of the year, which is magical but often treacherous.

Principal photography recently began in Calgary.
