Jennifer Westfeldt and John Boyd Sign Up for 24
In this, the eighth season of the action drama, the show will be set in New York.
Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) will play the recurring character Meredith Reed. She is a journalist who has links to Arman Hashemi (Anil Kapoor). Hashemi is a Middle East leader who visits the U.S. on a mission to keep the peace.
Boyd (The Notorious Bettie Page) will also be a regular on the series as CTU systems analyst Jonah Schwartz.
The producers of 24 are filling nine major new roles for this upcoming season. It started production today.

After the disappointment that was Season 7, I'm shocked that they've pursued an 8th season, especially with the same writers. And as I said before, Episode 22 of S7 was better than the 2hr season finale that aired on May 18th.

Tony did some horrible stuff this last season. At least he was hell bent on getting justice for what that guy did to his wife.
What next they bring Michelle back and both Tony and Jack look surprise to see her. Highly doubt it but with the 24 universe anything is possible.

Season 7 brought "24" back from the dead and ended with some brilliant cliff-hangers. And moving the show to Washington, D.C. was great, can't wait to see what they do with NYC.
