Actress Jennifer Lopez and Walden Media are teaming up to produce an adaptation of the video game and TV series Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? It is rumored that Jennifer Lopez may star as the title character, but, for now, she is only producing. Here's a brief synopsis for the project below.

"When the ACME agency's greatest detective Carmen Sandiego becomes the world's greatest thief, it's up to her former partner to follow her clues and track her down. Their cat and mouse game leads the partner to confront a greater mystery: is Carmen really a thief or a hero?"


Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? started off as an educational video game before it spawned the Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? animated TV series. Jennifer Lopez will produce the movie alongisde Benny Medina, Simon Fields, Nick Osbourne, Trevor Engelson, and Devin Andre.

    Great games in there days. Nice one to see come out for iPhone etc. as for movie, this might suck especially with j lo producing , sensing a pink panther type production here. Better suited for tv I think.

    I'll admit, I always thought this particular game could potentially make a decent global detective movie. If they hired someone with actual writing talent and blurred the line with whether she was a villain or not, it could be fun.
