Jennifer Lawrence will star in the Lionsgate adaptation The Glass Castle
The project is based on the memoir by gossip columnist Jeannette Walls, which was first published in 2005 and stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for over 250 weeks, the longest stretch for any memoir. The book delves into the writer's childhood with her, "dysfunctional but vibrant" family.
Screenwriter Marti Noxon (Fright Night, I Am Number Four) will write the screenplay adaptation, with Gil Netter producing.
No production schedule was given, but it will likely be quite some time before we see this adaptation in theaters. Jennifer Lawrence will next star in The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire later this year, and then will immediately start shooting the X-Men: First Class Sequel.
