Jason Sudeikis will star opposite Drew Barrymore and Justin Long in New Line's romantic comedy Going the Distance.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sudeikis will play Box, a friend of Garrett's (Long) who counsels him against trying to maintain his long-distance relationship with Barrymore's character. Charlie Day and Christina Applegate also were recently cast.

Geoff LaTulippe wrote the screenplay, which Nanette Burstein is directing.

No production date has been set.

Going the Distance was released September 3rd, 2010 and stars Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Christina Applegate, Ron Livingston, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jim Gaffigan. The film is directed by Nanette Burstein.
