Jason Lee to Star in Alvin and the Chipmunks
He will play the Chipmunks' dad, Dave Seville, while chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore will be computer generated. The Hollywood Reporter says the film will center on Seville and the chipmunks, focusing on the trio's origins as singing sensations.
Tim Hill will direct Alvin and the Chipmunks from the screenplay by Jon Vitti; production begins at the end of this month for a December 14th release.
Alvin and the Chipmunks was released December 14th, 2007 and stars Jason Lee, David Cross, Cameron Richardson, Jane Lynch, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Allison Karman. The film is directed by Tim Hill.
