Jason Katims Brings Oz Story to Dorothy Gale

Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) is working on a new series for NBC that will be a modern take The Wizard of Oz.

According to Variety, the new series will be titled Dorothy Gale and comes from Friday Night Lights scribe Bridget Carpenter, who's exec producing; Katims will serve as a non-writing exec producer with Meryl Poster.

The script follows the story of Dorothy, a girl from Kansas who tries to tackle modern-day Manhattan (her version of the Emerald City). Dorothy finds a job in the art world -- and must deal with a wicked boss.

Wtf? if NBC didn't cancel every good show they had ("my own worst enemy" & "Journeyman") then they wouldn't be so stupid as to produce this stupid excuse for a show.
Agree with everyone below me cept for Rufio,

Dosen't sound like a sci-fi/fantasy series at all. Sounds like the Devil Wears Prada only with a vague OZ theme.

How many times have they tried to do this and failed miserably.
