When Hugh Jackman teased that every X-Men mutant is appearing in X-Men: Days of Future Past, that may not have been entirely accurate. January Jones has revealed that she will not likely return as Emma Frost, the character she portrayed in X-Men: First Class.

"I don't know that I'm in it, I don't think Emma's in this one. Well they haven't told me if I am (laughs). I wouldn't put it past them though, I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there. It's called Days of Future Past I think, and I think it's more aboutJames (McAvoy) and Michael (Fassbender) and then Patrick (Stewart) and Ian (McKellen), and I think it's gonna go back and forth with those so I don't think Emma's in those bits. I don't know, I really don't know."

According to January Jones' statement, it sounds like the character simply won't appear at all. So, fans of the actress don't have to worry about a replacement. Kitty Pryde? There's a character that has been played by three different actresses in three different films, so it's not beyond 20th Century Fox to recast Mutants.

X-Men: First Class stars Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are confirmed to return, along with Hugh Jackman, who had a memorable five minute cameo in the first prequel. Bryan Singer is working from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn. He directed the first two films in the franchise, X-Men and X2: X-Men United.

X-Men: Days of Future Past comes to theaters May 23rd, 2014 and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Hugh Jackman, Evan Peters, James McAvoy, Ellen Page. The film is directed by Bryan Singer.

She was by far the weakest thing about First Class, so I'm totally cool if she's not in the sequel.

I loved January as Emma. I have a thing for the snarky bitches in films. Storm is and always will be my favorite mutant, so I was more than pumped to hear that Halle would be returning for this one. However, I hope with the way that First Class ended, they give January the call. Definitely gonna wanna see more of her.

Well, I think it's safe to say they just lost the biggest reason why I would've wanted to see it...

The character I was kind of indifferent about, but I still don't like it when they replace actors so I hope if her character is in it, that she'd return.

The only thing she confirmed is that she's not aware if she's in the film because she didn't bother reading the entire script...

She was wooden and dead eyed anyway. She may have looked the part, especially in that Gen-X jumpsuit but she definatly did not act the part.

Emma is a presence in any room. shes funny, witty and edgy. something J Jones did not convey.

if they do bring back Emma Frost, just recast her, they should stick with wanting Alice Eve or Rosemund Pike for the role as they were considered for Emma before Jones got it.

Thank the heavens! Her wooden performances are downright disgraceful.
