Janeane Garofalo is heading back to TV for CBS's untitled drama written by Barry Schindel for Scott Free Productions.

The pilot follows the lives, relationships, cases and careers of a team of public defenders. The Hollywood Reporter says Garofalo will play the quirky, sassy head of the public defender's office who bears the scars of having made it in what is essentially a man's world.

No word on production for the show.
