It looks like Kevin James will get some company at the mall. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jayma Mays has signed on to the Untitled Kevin James Comedy, playing James' love interest. The film was formerly known as Mall Cop, but they are seeking another title for the movie.

The film surrounds James' character as a mall security guard whose skills are put to the ultimate test when highly-skilled thieves invade his mall. Mays, who was last seen in Epic Movie, will play the owner of a hair extensions kiosk at James' mall.

Keir O'Donnell (Wedding Crashers) also joins the cast that also includes Shirley Knight, Raini Rodriguez and Adam Ferrara.

Filming is set to start this month in Boston, with Steve Pink directing from a script by James and Nick Bakay.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop was released January 16th, 2009 and stars Kevin James, Keir O'Donnell, Jayma Mays, Raini Rodriguez, Shirley Knight, Stephen Rannazzisi, Peter Gerety, Bobby Cannavale. The film is directed by Steve Carr.
