Jamie Ray Newman Joins I Am Paige Armstrong on the CW
Kathy Baker has been tapped to co-star in CBS' drama pilot Babylon Fields, a comedic drama about a town where the dead are resurrected and resume their former lives; Baker will play a low-rent suburban housewife who, along with her daughter (Amber Tamblyn), is forced to face her cruel, abusive husband whom the two of them murdered with an ax.
Additionally, Kevin Dunn has come aboard ABC's comedy pilot Sam I Am; it centers on a woman (Christina Applegate) with amnesia who has to rediscover her life. Dunn will play her dad.
Kelly Rutherford has been added to the CW's drama pilot Gossip Girl. The show revolves around privileged Manhattan high school girls; Rutherford will play the mom of the lead girl (Blake Lively), a former ballerina and rock groupie. Variety notes Florencia Lozano will guest in the pilot.
Annie Potts has been cast in the CW's untitled Maggie Friedman dramedy pilot, a dramedy about a young woman who is a life coach and a witch; Potts will play her sexy, bohemian, earthy mother.
Peter Keleghan has been added to NBC's comedy pilot Business Class; it centers on two salesmen (Mark Valley, Horatio Sanz). Keleghan will be the narrator, who appears throughout the episode to provide background information on the characters.
Amy Sloan has been added to ABC's untitled Jon Feldman drama. The show centers on four CEOs and CEOs-to-be who are best buddies and members at the same golf club; Sloan will play the wife of one of the men (Joshua Malina).
Leslie Grossman has joined CBS' untitled Scott Silveri comedy, an ensemble show about people - one of them played by Grossman - who are up all night.
According to Variety, Michael Arden will play Buddy, and Ron McLarty is set as Donald, in Fox's comedy pilot The Return of Jezebel James.
At ABC, Julie Gonzalo will play Gretchen in Ric Swartzlander's untitled news project from ABC TV Studio. Also on ABC, Victoria Pratt is set as Naomi in drama, Dirty Sexy Money.
In Peacock news, Peter Keleghan will be the Narrator in comedy "Busi-ness Class," from NBC Universal TV Studio.
