Jamie Lee Curtis Joins the Cast of Disney's South of the Border

Jamie Lee Curtis has joined Walt Disney Pictures' lost-dog comedy South of the Border, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Curtis joins Piper Perabo as the only other live-action character in the film. The rest of the cast, which includes Drew Barrymore, George Lopez, Andy Garcia, Salma Hayek, Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, Edward James Olmos and Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo, will lend their voices to the Raja Gosnell-helmed project.

Written by Jeff Bushell and Analisa Labianco, the story centers on a spoiled Beverly Hills Chihuahua (Barrymore) who becomes lost in Mexico and must rely on her new friends to help her get back home. Curtis will play Aunt Viv, the dog's owner.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua was released October 3rd, 2008 and stars Piper Perabo, Manolo Cardona, Jamie Lee Curtis, José María Yazpik, Maury Sterling, Jesús Ochoa, Eugenio Derbez, Omar Leyva. The film is directed by Raja Gosnell.
