According to Production Weekly, director James Wong is set to helm Final Destination 3 in Vancoucer, British Columbia.

Wong, the director of the original Final Destination, is coming back after director David R. Ellis took a shot at the newly formed franchise with Final Destination 2.

Plans on continuing the series in a simliar vein as the previous 2 films as Wong and Glen Morgan have a script which follows high school student, Wendy Christensen, who fails to stop the fated roller coaster ride that she predicted would cause the deaths of several of her friends. She teams with schoolmate, Kevin Fischer, in a race against time to prevent the Grim Reaper from revisiting the survivors of the first tragedy.
