James Purefoy and Judy Davis will co-star in the miniseries Diamonds. According to Variety, the project is being produced by the Alchemy Television Group.

Andy Wilson will be directing a script written by David Vainola. The series will explore the international diamond trade. Davis will play a U.S. senator whose daughter is murdered in a diamond mine in Africa. The project will shoot in South Africa, London and Canada.

Diamonds will be pitched to networks next month at the Mip TV conference. The finished miniseries should be ready for air by next spring.
