Tricia Helfer and James Callis join 17th Precinct
17th Precinct is a supernatural-tinged police procedural, with James Callis playing a homicide detective and Jamie Bamber playing a crime scene expert. Tricia Helfer will play a coroner who has expertise in black magic, spell casting, and potions. The police in the series will relay more so on magic than they will on detective work and technology.
Other cast members include Stockard Channing, Matt Long, and Eamonn Walker. 17th Precinct should serve as a nice companion piece to NBC's upcoming Wonder Woman pilot.

@dan1: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Excited, me.)
@ejk1: I feel the same way and while its been a real treat to see her show up in ALL my favorite shows, I was actually disappointed she was only there for the pilot episode of Human Target and not the whole series. :( It would've benefited from her weekly presence, greatly...
You'd think with Galactica having been her first gig EVER she'd have been the first to break out and land something else considering what an amazing frakking actress she is (I knew there was a line for that word to make an entrance. hehe)
Seriously, Ed had Vice before this and now guest stars.
Boomer lands Hawaii Five-O! (High-Five!)
Bamber gets Law & Order UK
Starbuck gets a recurring on CSI
McDonnell grabs a GREAT role on The Closer!
Tigh and Gaeda (sp?) BOTH show up in Smallville
and Tricia gets appearances on Supernatural, Burn Notice, and Human Target... guest star, guest star, guest star! Its just not right.

About time Helfer got a regular job on TV again. Guest starring roles are not enough.
