Rachel Weisz wanted for Bond villain
Instead, another old rumor that reaches as far back as March of 2010 is starting to rise again. Apparently producers are still hoping to get Rachel Weisz as an as-yet-unnamed enemy of 007. Her character, as reported by various sources more than a year ago, will be the head of the sinister organization behind the villainy in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
Rachel Weisz had also previously been eyed as James Bond 23's central Bond girl, but producers feared they wouldn't be able to lock Weisz in due to her current romantic ties to leading man Daniel Craig. The two will be seen together in the upcoming thriller Dream House.
James Bond 23 is tentatively set to be titled Red Sky at Night. Ian Fleming's catalogue also has three titles left that have not yet been used, The Property of a Lady, Risico, and The Hildebrand Rarity, all of which are also being considered.
Skyfall comes to theaters November 9th, 2012 and stars Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Javier Bardem, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.

Ms. Weisz would be a good choice if they could get her; however, Mr. Sheen and his usual hack performances are getting tiresome. He is like nails on a chalk board.

I like it. Thus far my favorite female bond villain, Famke Janssen, in Golden eye.
Xenia Onatopp: You don't need the gun.
James Bond: Well, that depends on your definition of safe sex.

@Movie lol I hope Weisz is the villain. Sheen tends to overact a lot.

I think Ms. Weisz would be fantastic as the Lead Villain. Either her or Sheen. Looking forward to this next installment.

How does her romantic ties with Craig affect her being in the film? And it'd be nice to see another lead female villain. The last and only one being Sophie Marceau back in '99.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Weisz is the perfect choice for a villain. She packs sucks emotional depth in her at times, it's hard to tell what you're seeing. I mean what if they made her character similar to Bond's in the sense that she started all of Quantum, simply out of betrayal and heartbreak? I mean can you imagine those two verbally duking it out as the world around them crumbles (my mind drifting of here for a second)? totally f*cking genius idea.
P.S. I've wanted Nolan for some time now, to possibly have a hand in a Bond film. Never gonna happen, I know, but I think he'd write an amazing one none-the-less.

@BTodd945 Yeah, only MGM has completed it's restructuring, Mendes and Craig have been confirmed, and it's on track for release now in November 2012. Pretty sure it'll do just fine.

There have been female Bond villains in the past, as well as henchmen (henchwomen :) ), so anything is possible in the world of Bond.
