"Well, our timeline's a little up in the air what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible. We just don't know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it's uncertain."
While we reported last month that the franchise's new screenwriter Peter Morgan claimed this film had a "shocking story," it seems that the story isn't entirely locked down as of yet, according to Wilson.
"Well... we've hired the writers and we've been working with them but it's just too early to say anything," he said. "You know, often at this stage, I find myself saying, 'Oh, we're gonna do this and that', then six months from now you'll say, 'That isn't in the film at all - you told me it was...' I think we're at the stage where a lot of ideas are floating around that sound very good, but whether they make the final cut, who knows?"
Skyfall comes to theaters November 9th, 2012 and stars Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Javier Bardem, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.

It will be interesting to see what book they'll use to base this story line.

I thought QoS was very good. I like the tone of the new Bond films. They're not goofy, but Craig is still charming.

QoS had very little story, too much action, confusing plot, directing was bad, too many locations, but Daniel was okay as Bond despite what had taken place in it.
It felt more like a Borne film rather than a Bond, the director and the writer needs to go back to film school.

QoS was good...as a sequel to Casino Royale. As a Bond film...meh.

I agree. MGM's CEO's need to get their heads out of their ass and focus on this franchise. Its what practically made them and its what will keep on making them money. What do they except? To make the movie for free?

If Casino Royale was the first time in your life you enjoyed a Bond movie, you won't like QoS...at least, in my opinion. People I've encountered who say they like QoS is because it's more like the "originals" in terms of action, but that's not the point of this rebooted franchise. I thought QoS was awful compared to Royale.

Err
yeah was QoS not that good?
i still havent seen it, but i saw casino royale and it wa sthe first time in my life i enjoyed a bond movie.

This sucks they finally get a bond who can live up to and who can stand side by side with sean connery as one of the greats who played the role and who breathed new life into the series and now we are not seeing a new movie!! Say it ain't so!! It would be wiser to make the investment make the movie and bring in the profits common sense

MGM decided to keep the franchise but with a low income, they have been suffering for the past year. Why do you think they haven't brought out any films this year? It's because they've tapped the income to much.
In my eye they need to join forces with another to keep going, they spent most of their money on the Hobbit. Yes it is old news but at this rate they might fold if they are not careful.

Financial Woes ...my ass.. If MGM and the rest of the Hollywood machine stops remaking and rebooting films ...maybe that moeny could be saved and spent towards decent and better films ...Not something that was already filmed 10..5...15 years ago ....This is lame news!!
