Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in an untitled Moon project for DreamWorks. According to Variety, Doug Liman will direct the film.

The plot revolves around a private expedition to the moon. A group of pioneers are in a race to build colonies in space. Liman and John Hamburg wrote the original version of the screenplay, which Mark Bowden completely revised.

Gyllenhaal is expected to shoot the film after he finishes work on Brothers, which also co-stars Tobey Maguire. This should be sometime in early 2008.
