Jackie Chan and Jet Li Together At Last
Robert Minkoff will direct the $70 million family flick, while martial arts expert Yuen Woo-Ping will create the action sequences, reports Variety. Currently known as the Untitled J&J Project, the John Fusco script is based on the legend of the monkey king and his quest to achieve immortality. Li is set to play two roles, that of the monkey king and the silent monk; Chan will play the monk T'sa-Ho.
Project is sure to garner keen interest at AFM, with Chan and Li enjoying superstar status in Asia and solid name recognition among teen action fans worldwide.
Shooting on the film is set for April with no release date scheduled.
