Jack Reacher International Trailer

Paramount Pictures has released an international trailer for the upcoming action-thriller Jack Reacher, starring Tom Cruise as the title character. The story centers on an ex military police officer, who gets caught up in the investigation of an infantry soldier accused of murdering five innocent people. Take a look at the first footage from this adaptation of Lee Child's novel, written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Jack Reacher was released December 21st, 2012 and stars Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Werner Herzog, Jai Courtney, Vladimir Sizov, Joseph Sikora. The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

    @mich&#232le Sheaff I agree. In no way does Cruise's physique fit the character in the book, but unfortunately there just aren't many actors out there that have Reacher's massive dimensions that also carry the starpower of Cruise.

    What made me even more worried about Cruise playing Reacher, aside from the fact he is completely wrong for the part, is that Cruise said he had Child's support as the right man to "drive fast cars and kick ass." (Not sure Child had much choice as Cruise owns the rights to his books.) Anyone who has ever read a Jack Reacher novel knows Reacher is SO not about fast cars. Not only does he not own a car, he doesn't even own a driver's licence, he's not a good driver, and avoids driving if he can. He walks or takes public transit or gets a ride or borrows a clunker. And though he's all about kicking ass, he does it with his 6 foot 5, 250-lb, 50-inch chest of a hulking body. He's a lumbering, immovable, intimidating human tank. That's his persona as well as his physique. I'm gonna pretend the movie doesn't exist and stick with the novels.
