Director J.J. Abrams offered a few details about his highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII at the Produced By conference in Los Angeles this weekend. The filmmaker confirmed a report from last month that the sequel will be shot in the U.K. in early 2014.

"We are, most likely, if all goes as planned, going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the Star Wars movie."

When asked about his approach to the franchise, the director revealed he wants to honor the previous franchises, while not putting it on a pedestal.

"It is so massive and so important to people. I think the key to moving forward on something like this is honoring but not revering what came before."

J.J. Abrams is directing from a screenplay by Michael Arndt. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher are returning as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia, but no story details have been confirmed at this time.

Star Wars: Episode VII comes to theaters December 18th, 2015 and stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

Why oh why did they pick the most secretive director in the world for Star Wars. We probably won't even know the cast of the film until May 2015.
