Despite heavy security measures, photos have still leaked from the set, offering looks at the cast and some of the scenes they've been shooting. This has understandably upset J.J. Abrams, so now he is taking affirmative action against the paparazzi by implementing a massive blockade.
The director ordered the installation of 30 large shipping containers, strung together to form a fence around the perimeter of a major outside shooting location. While for the moment, all we have to look at is this photo of those shipping containers, the paparazzi has accepted this as a challenge, promising fans that they will get a ladder and beat J.J. at his own game. A breach is promised soon, with more pics too come.
What do you think? Do spy photos hurt or help a film? Should the paparazzi give up and go home? Or do you want more photos from the set of Star Trek 2? This whole scenario will surely get more interesting as filming resumes. But in the end, do J.J. Abrams' tactics even matter? Now, check out J.J. Abrams' makeshift paparazzi blocker...

Star Trek Into Darkness was released May 17th, 2013 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anton Yelchin. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

no,there needs to be an element of surprise here, and the Paprazzi continues to be that annoying fly buzzing around. I will happily wait for the preview when I go to see another movie,or commercials on TV,it kind of creates an excitement.

No one likes a spoil sport. I'd much prefer the filmmakers to structure the publicity, such as Cameron did with Avatar. They're the pro's, not some lard butt, smoke stained bearded mommy's boy who can't get a real job in the industry, let alone get laid.

leaks, no leaks, you think all the leaks The Dark Knight has is going to keep anyone from seeing that movie? unless you have a crappy trailer, people will go see the Trek sequel

I hate when a movie is ruined by the paparazzi taking pictures of the movie. But in today's day and age and the internet being so big that is to be expected.

Paparazzi are sc*m. Lowest of the low. They should stick to harassing the families of recently deceased children or hounding Princesses to death. It's what they do best. It's just a game to them. Anyone who pays them or prints their crap is just as bad. Gutter press. Stop paying them for what are quite frankly terrible shots and they'll stop doing it.
Movieweb used to be a cool site with interesting articles and exclusives but now we see this crap every day. It has become a cheap tacky low-end movie site. There's a plethora of great movie sites out there. I find it quite sad as a lot of the members on here have some great opinions and ideas - certainly a lot more interesting than the articles and MW writers have - but I'm out.

I really don't like it when the pop follows some one on tv or is all up in their face but as far as getting a sleek peek of a movie I'm excited about I would have to say... "Game On" get those those and my I suggest a GoPro on a mini helicopter?!!!

Paparazzi should leave and go home people still like to be surprised when they look forward to movies. Then again those people also have the right to NOT look at said photos
