
J. Edgar to open in theaters Nov. 9
J. Edgar stars Naomi Watts, Ed Westwick, Judi Dench, Damon Herriman, Armie Hammer, Ken Howard and Josh Lucas.
J. Edgar Hoover was appointed director of the Bureau of Investigation in 1924 and was named head of the FBI when it was founded 11 years later. He remained director until his death in 1972 and came under attack late in his tenure for using the FBI to harass political activists and keeping secret files on leaders.
Warner Bros. also dated the post-9/11 drama Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, to open in limited markets on Christmas with an expansion to a wide release on Jan. 20. Stephen Daldry directed the story of a boy convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, has left a final message hidden somewhere in the city.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island was pushed back two weeks to Feb. 10 from Jan. 27 and Alfonso Cuarón's outer-space adventure Gravity 3D, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, will open Nov. 21, 2012.
J. Edgar was released November 9th, 2011 and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Judi Dench, Damon Herriman, Naomi Watts, Josh Lucas, Armie Hammer, Ed Westwick, Stephen Root. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was released January 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, James Gandolfini, John Goodman, Viola Davis, Max von Sydow, Jeffrey Wright, Adrian Martinez. The film is directed by Stephen Daldry.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island was released February 10th, 2012 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Luis Guzmán, Vanessa Hudgens, Kristin Davis, Anna Colwell, Stephen Caudill. The film is directed by Brad Peyton.
Gravity comes to theaters November 21st, 2012 and stars Sandra Bullock, George Clooney. The film is directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

@DuaneBarry Yea im not sure what Leo has to do to finally win one. He has proven he is a very good actor and this movie has lots of promise. I use to loathe Leo but he has matured as an actor and his movies always are entertaining

Glad to see Dench, Root, and Lucas are in this but surely Eastwood could find a better option to play Hoover than Leo. Not sure we even need a film on Hoover anyway, especially after some of his actions over the years. Hope to see Donovan involved as well though.
