Epic Movie won the box office this weekend debuting with $19.2 million. The spoof comedy pokes fun at some of the recent big hits at theaters including Nacho Libre, Superman Returns and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. According to Box Office Mojo, it kept its top spot throughout the weekend with a Friday total of $6.8 million.

Te action/comedy, Smokin' Aces took second place with $14.2 million. Debuting with a tremendous cast including Jeremy Piven, Ben Affleck, Alicia Keys, Ryan Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Common, and Andy Garcia, the film is written and directed by Joe Carnahan.

Ben Stiller's Night at the Museum came in third; the family comedy took in $9.4 million, which puts it to $216.7 million over 6 weeks.

Jennifer Garner stars in Catch and Release, which debuted in fourth; Kevin Smith, Timothy Olyphant, and Juliette Lewis also star in the romantic comedy. It made $8 million this weekend. In the film, Jennifer plays a woman whose fiancé passed away before their wedding, but finds out he wasn't as honest as he said he was.

Stomp the Yard fell four spots to fifth after two weeks at number one; Columbus Short stars in the urban dance drama taking in $7.8 million this weekend, and $50.6 million over three weeks.

Dreamgirls got snubbed for a best picture nomination, but the film went on to make $6.6 million over the weekend in fifth place. Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson star; in seven weeks, the 60's-style film has taken in $86.6 million.

Will Smith's The Pursuit of Happyness came in seventh; this weekend, the true story drama made $5 million coming in seventh. Will's son, Jaden stars as his son in the film; it's made $152.9 million over seven weeks in theaters.

Pan's Labyrinth took the eighth spot with $4.5 million; the fantasy drama, from the mind of Guillermo del Toro, has made $16.2 million over five weeks.

Helen Mirren's Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win has brought The Queen to the top ten in ninth place with $4 million. Over 18 weeks, the film has made $41.2 million.

Rounding out the top ten, the horror/thriller, The Hitcher made $3.5 million; it fell six spots from fourth to tenth this week. Sophia Bush, Zachary Knighton, and Sean Bean star in the film; in two weeks, it's made $13.3 million.

Epic Movie was released January 26th, 2007 and stars Kal Penn, Adam Campbell, Jennifer Coolidge, Jayma Mays, Faune A. Chambers, Crispin Glover, Tony Cox, Héctor Jiménez. The film is directed by Jason Friedberg, Aaron Seltzer.
