Is This Ryan Reynolds in His Green Lantern Costume?

Slashfilm has pointed us in the direction of some supposed concept art from the upcoming Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds. While it's a pretty picture to look at, its authenticity is being questioned. The artwork comes from Jason Palmer's Deviant Art blog, where the artist says, "I did some work for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. I can't show the submitted art, but this is some extra art I did as a cover to the submission pdf, but was strangely not included in the submission. Oh well. For this art, I didn't use costume designs or Reynolds ref that was provided by WB, so I can share it with you. "

Green Lantern was released June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Mike Doyle. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.

    Whatever, your Saintliness. I'm sure at some point during the creation process, the artist used photoshop. For example, I doubt the texts "Green Lantern" and "www.jasonpalmer.net" were freehanded using crayons. Also, my one-worded comment does not qualify me a "dumbass." Unobservant and far-sighted, maybe. I'll get my prescription upped.

    @Avrahama, you may of liked John Stewart, but trust me, Hal Jordan is where its at. Johns more the serious type, with Guy Gardner the smart ass, and then my personal fave GL, Kyle Reese.

    the reason why they choose Hal, is he's the first human GL, the most famous one, and has the most interesting characteristics about him, and more relativity in a way to the common man. And he's cooler than the Guardians balls. :)

    Hey I know the original Green Lantern was a white dude, but man, I watched the entire Justice League series (animated) by Warner Bros. and John Stewart is Green Lantern to me. Oh man Wesley Snipes would of made a kickass Green Lantern. He was passenger 57, and Blade. Cool. Too bad. Hilarious photo though *thumbs up*.
