Is Ryan Gosling the New Jack Ryan?
He says that Harrison Ford will not be returning to the franchise, either. The next film will focus on a younger Jack Ryan. And it is Ryan Gosling that has been cast in the role.
The next film will not be based on one of Tom Clancy's books.

Harrison Ford is the best Jack Ryan, however is too old to play the character and the franchise is still commercially viable.
Ryan Gosling is one of the best young actors working and esteemed among them. He's a perfect replacement. Check out "Half Nelson" and "Fracture" to see he has the acting chops for the role.
When I first heard Michael Keaton was cast in the first Batman and I thought that was crazy. Then he was considered the best Batman for years...until Christian Bale received the crown, IMO.

ugh! this is going to suck. ryan gosling is not jack ryan. and its not based on a book means some retard wrote "his version" of a jack ryan movie. yeah, this is going to suck something awful.
