Green Lantern
The site had previously heard other names thrown around for the role, such as Seth Green, Justin Long and David Boreanaz, but the source said that wasn't true and that Gosling was the main actor being sought.
Of course, this isn't confirmed by the studio yet and it isn't clear if an offer was made to Gosling for the role or if there are just discussions for now. We'll surely keep you updated on this latest superhero project as soon as we get more information.
Green Lantern was released June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Mike Doyle. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.

Young, yes. The script calls for a 27 year old. But, you also need someone who looks like your sort of cliche, Chuck Yeager, c*cky pilot type. Square-Jaws are a must, and Gosling doesn't have the look, or the attitude. He looks TOO young.

Tobey McGuire is a little guy too who plays Spiderman. Michael Keaton is a little guy who played Batman in a couple of movies. Neither one of them look like their civilian comic counterparts...sorry Chad.
The role will go to who can really act. Gosling and Mathew Fox would fit the bill.

You can't have him looking like Neil Patrick Harris guys come on. That's what I'm sayin' here. I know Gosling can act but I don't see him looking like Hal Gordon sorry.

I don't really mind who plays him (of course I've never read the comics). Ryan Goslings a good actor though, so I think he could pull it off. i like Ryan Gosling as an actor. i think he has dark tone that some actors try but totally miss the point of it.
but, i'm not sure he is suited for Hal Jordan. again BUT!!! i don't like the idea of Fox either. between them i'd go with Gosling.
