Is Mike Tyson Right for The Expendables 2?

Is Mike Tyson right for The Expendables 2
Is Mike Tyson right for The Expendables 2
Ever since Sylvester Stallone launched his personal Twitter account earlier this year, he has been dropping subtle, and not so subtle, hints about where he wants to take his upcoming sequel The Expendables 2. In August, the legendary action star-turned director stated that he wants Bruce Willis as the sequel's main villain. He has also been dropping Jean-Claude Van Damme's name quite a bit, even though the "Muscles from Brussels" stated earlier this year that he wasn't interested in appearing as one of The Expendables.

Now, Sylvester Stallone is hinting that he may want Former Heavyweight Champion of the World Mike Tyson, last seen starring as himself in The Hangover, to join his team of mercenaries. Though he's not certain the fighter-turned-comedic actor is a sound fit. In one of his more subtle hints at who we may/or may not expect to see in The Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone simple stated:

"How tough is Mike Tyson? ...EXPENDABLES tough? Always experimenting. Mike Tyson is not a sound fit. In my life I have been wrong more then RIGHT but I usually get lucky when it counts."

There had been some speculation that Sylvester Stallone might be bringing John Travolta, whom he directed in the failed Saturday Night Fever sequel Staying Alive, in for the sequel. But Sly doesn't think that would work either, saying:

"No, don't think so. And I really love John. Great guy."

Someone you might not expect to have gained Sylvester Stallone's respect and admiration as a possible Expendable is Ryan Seacrest. His intent isn't clear, but Sly didn't seem to be joking when he said:

"Hey, Ryan Seacrest. Telling people how tough you are. They never saw you train like an animal. You need to kick ass in The Expendables 2! Why would I put Jean-Claude Van Damme, and I do like him, in The Expendables 2 when I know Ryan Seacrest could destroy the one time great. ASK Steve Austin, he knows. Ryan Seacrest is not want you think. HE is TOUGH as S---! He is in TEN times better shape than Jean-Claude Van Damme and would most likely whip him. Seriously! He would definitely take out Jet Li, really. Don't doubt it!"

We'll keep you posted as official casting announcements are made on The Expendables 2.

The Expendables 2 comes to theaters August 17th, 2012 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Liam Hemsworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li. The film is directed by Simon West.

I have just seen The Expendables and what a great movie - its got it all not like the other movies trying to show real men doing the job but in a way no one can understand why its called a action movie when the hero never bleeds , this movie they all bleed and show some feel for the real job done. BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR !!!!!!!!

Tyson was good in hangover, couse he didnt have to do any real acting. He was himself, in a movie with a role where he seams more like the rich bad ass fighter he once was. Now John Travolta was alsom in from paris with love. He could do expendables 2 and be good. Have him and Willis as a team. But with how good one was in money making and how good it was. Van Damn would be a idiot not to do it.

@ On Borderlands: Dude, seriously, lay off the coffee. Interpunction exist for a reason and Caps Lock is something you should turn off when typing.

I liked Rambo IV better than The Expendables, but I do like the idea of all the great movie stars together. Maybe it'll be good. Probably not. It's just an excuse to get action stars together, and Mike Tyson is no movie star.

I loves T.E., I got exactly what I was wanting, a fun action flick. Thought the story was lacking the characters were set up and executed well. And he also was able to give everyone their time in the spotlight.

P.S. I think Sly is partially kidding about the Seacrest thing.
