MTV, Paramount and New Line Cinema have teamed up to remake Friday the 13th. It will be hitting theaters on February 13th, 2009. This has reinvigorated New Line to start developing a sequel to Freddy vs. Jason, entended to ride on the coattails of this latest Voorhees endeavor.
No script is in place, and with the writers' strike currently going on, it may be awhile before Freddy vs. Jason 2 gets made. You would think that, since New Line also owns the rights to the Friday franchise, they'd throw Ice Cube in there as well.
Freddy vs. Jason was released August 15th, 2003 and stars Robert Englund, Ken Kirzinger, Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Kelly Rowland, Chris Marquette, Brendan Fletcher, Katharine Isabelle. The film is directed by Ronny Yu.

Seeing as no new info has been seen of this for 9 months, I don't think any of the information is accurate. As has now been revealed, a new Friday the 13th film and a separate new A nightmare on Elm Street film will be out next year. I wouldn't bet against this been made eventually though.

the first wasn't as brutal as it should have been, if i see micheal myhers in there as well then i will die from excitment cus to be honest we aint gonna see another halloween film for a while, not until the public opinion over zombies movie is settled.

I LOVE the idea of Putting Michael into the throwdown, but ASH? Evil Dead1/2 and Army of Darkness aren't even close to these slash flicks. I guess i get the angle, he tries to stop them, but idk it just seems wrong...

man i am a fan of these two guys their badass they should make apart2 and more. a movie is a movie people made stupider movies so why not make a 2nd movie of these gus kicking ass again well sh*t freddy needs some reveage puting michael in the mix thats cool how bout jeeperscreepers i say they would have no chance in hell hes to fast and he can fly but i like jason i go 4 him always he will come out on top so i think it would be cool if they made more movies about them all

Yahzee, just remember that everyone wanted the first movie. Even if the movie was scrap, it was f*ck*ng funny to see those two Horror Star in action agaisnt each other. You can be a nightmare on elm street fan or a Friday the 13th fan, who cares.......... Every one seems to be agaisnt a another movie with too much blood for nothing. Damn! see it has a comedy, not an horror movie. Even the Saw movies was comedy, I too much laught that I almost pee in my pants.
I take pleasure to see those kind of movie being scraped. They become hell funny to see.
