Is Corey Feldman One of the Inglorious Bastards?
While this is of course still in the rumor stages, it makes perfect sense. Tarantino has in the past alluded to wanting to work with both Feldman and Haim, but that idea never seemed to come to fruition. Tarantino is known for taking certain scaled back actors and giving them a mighty career boost. And it certainly seems like he is looking to do that with Feldman. While the role wouldn't be of leading man status, Feldman would be playing one of the secondary characters in a role that is said to be reminiscent of the work he did in The 'Burbs, another favorite of Tarantino's (directed by Joe Dante).
Feldman certainly seems like the right guy for a role in this film. He recently proved that he can carry a picture on his own with his recent appearance as Edgar Frog in Lost Boys: The Tribe. He's a rough, tough, believable soldier of fortune. And he's Jewish. Both Coreys seem to be on a resurgence of sorts. Feldman's fan base is suddenly seeping into a much younger audience, and Haim just finished shooting a part in Neveldine and Taylor's Crank 2: High Voltage. Hopefully, Feldman's appearance in Inglorious Bastards turns out to be more than just the ramblings of a seemingly obsessed director.
This isn't the first time Corey Feldman has been swept up in a Quentin Tarantino casting rumor. Last year, when interviewing the actor for his show The Two Coreys, we asked him about this, and he stated, "I would love to work with Quentin anytime. I've met Quentin and he is a very nice guy. And I am a great fan of his work. (I would) be honored to have that opportunity. But that opportunity hasn't arisen yet." Feldman even acknowledged Tarantino as a fan of his own work, saying, "He's always said he is. So, we'll see if he puts his money were his mouth is. Hopefully. That would be nice. I would enjoy it."
Let's hope Tarantino makes good on this rumor. I know I want to see Feldman in the film. What do you guys think?
Inglorious Bastards is set to be released sometime in 2010, but we may be seeing it as early as 2009.
Inglourious Basterds was released August 21st, 2009 and stars Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Til Schweiger. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Very cool news, put him in the movie. Tarantino knows what he's doing and Feldman deserves another shot.

Not true St.... I neither love the guy or hate him. To me, he's just an actor who's in the business. He sometimes does an okay job, but sometimes he does some lousy work. But he's not an either/or guy to me.
But if he does get work with Tarantino, I think it will help resurrect his career. It definitely won't hurt him.

Well Reverend I can not take your opinion about Corey Feldman from you. He is one of those guys that you either love him or hate him. No Apologies needed.

Don't get me wrong Homies. You can all support the sh*t outta Corey Feldman until the day he croaks and beyond. For some reason I just can't stand the guy. Plus he doesn't help himself out in life any by doing that t.v. show "The Two Coreys". I just think all he really is deep down inside is a little bitch. Apologies to any and all of the Feldman fans that I might have offended for some reason.
But hey I am a HUGE Tarantino fan so maybe Moviebuff123 is right. The tables might be turned.

Wow! I have always been a huge Corey Feldman fan.. even back when him and Haim were doing stupid B movies. Now finally he just might get his chance and even come back stronger than he was when he was younger. I am hearing a lot of good news about him recently!
Go Corey Go!

Nah Reverend... Feldman deserves another shot at Hollywood fame. He did ok for a generation 20 years ago... so he deserves a resurgence. Although, I think too many fans are making his work in Lost Boys 2 bigger than it really is.
Look at some of the actors that benefited by working with Tarantino... he either helped start or restart careers of John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Harvey Kietel. All had careers, but it was Tarantino's movies that brought them back to life and into the limelight (for some again).
Feldman deserves a chance... and to some degree (even though I hate his attitude) so does Haim.

Radical. I'd be stoked. Feldman needs more legitimate stuff now. We all know how hard he works.

Wow! I hope this is true. This is the best news I've heard all week. Feldman killed it in Lost Boys 2. i can totally see him as an angry Jewish solider slicing up nazi's left and right. A sidekick role would be perfect. He's so great in The 'burbs. "The pizza dude is coming!"

God, this would be so awesome. Feldman is a great character actor and would be a welcome addition to this cast. As a supporting player, he'd make the best angry jewish soldier. Maybe give him a height complex. Give him one or two classic Tarantino lines, and it would be off the rails. Can;t wait for this one!
