The Dark Knight Rises continues production in Los Angeles this week, and there are rumors that the Scarecrow has been spotted on set.

Shooting took place at L.A.'s Union Station on Wednesday, which doubled for a Gotham City courthouse. One of the scenes being shot features Gary Oldman's Jim Gordon and Marion Cotillard's Amanda Tate, who are forced to see a mysterious judge. Take a look at the description of this scene below, which reveals Cillian Murphy's return as Jonathan Crane a.k.a. Scarecrow.

It appears that exile means walking a dangerous frozen river on the outskirts of Gotham. Which would coincide with the LA River scene filmed with Gordon and his men tip toeing awkwardly in the leaked video.

Oh P.S.

Judge's identity: JONATHAN F#CKIN CRANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cillian Murphy is back with a bang!"

There have been other reports that Cillian Murphy was spotted on the set this week, so it seems the Scarecrow may indeed be back... but as a judge? We'll have to wait and see how this storyline plays out when The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20.

The Dark Knight Rises was released July 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

@slysnide Well, he keeps telling me details/hints about TDKR whenever he interviews Tom Hardy for Warrior. I half believe/half don't. If any, the full description hasn't been confirmed by Nolan himself.

    Way too many exclamation points.
@slysnide: Agreed. But allow me to condense the paragraph to one question: Is he full of sh*t? I have a guess.

@ghostman: I'm curious about Ottley's claims. He always says he's got this insider data, and while he may know Nolan, if everyone else (including the cast) has to read the script in Chris' office and are only shown the script if they're on a need to know basis, then I don't see why he'd show it to Ottley, or how he'd get a hold of it. Last summer Ottley's profile was allegedly hacked, and he started spewing that whole Riddler finale bit that we now know was false. But he always trolls around saying he's got the inside scoop, but to date, nothing he's ever said has been confirmed. Did he actually detail anything to you? Or just say that we'll freak?

Correction It's Miranda Tate, not Amanda.

cool. i always thought that they didn't develop scarecrow into a big enough villain in these movies. not CRANE, mind you, but SCARECROW.

From what @jayaottley has told me, you guys are going to freak when you see this scene! ;) But i'm on the fence at how this leaked if Nolan and company are keeping this 'twist' secret....for all we know, this could just be some fans imagination.

After his return and capture in 'The Dark Knight', there really wasn't much more that needed to be said of his character.
