Is Channing Tatum Duke in G.I. Joe?

AICN just broke the casting news that Channing Tatum has won the role of Duke in the upcoming big screen adaptation of G.I. Joe.

Good Job on calling. I mean your odds were only 1 in 3. They prob chose him because he would take the part for less money. They could cast whoever they wanted and still get their money....

Back when they released the three possible actors who would portray Duke, I said Tatum. I called it. Everyone doubted me. I called it. I knew they'd go with the least expected actor. Maybe this'll be his breakout film. He better do a damn good job, cuz ya wanna why? I CALLED IT! Now I hope this is all true so all that ranting wasn't for nothing. heh, heh, heh

He may have been in many a crappy film, but in "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" he proved his worth. I'm sure he can pull it off.

Sweet Jebus!!!!! this is deff a turn for the worse!!" had high hopes for this movie, but if "Chad" does have the part, then we have been royally f*cked!!!

Channing Tatum also will be in the film "Public Enemies where he will play 1930's American gangster Pretty Boy Floyd!!!

Not too sure about this film, since either most of the casting is just B & C actors that couldn't open a film on name alone, or 2 most of these actors are still trying to find there "BIG" break!!

I'm very not impressed with this at out all...I can accept the fact that they varied on all the characters in this movie but the Duke part had to be significant and now they choose this guy? Ya he might look a bit like Duke, but he's the wrong candidate for this role...Stick to chick flicks, not this...

This pisses me off. Why don't you get a good, well known actor for the lead? I've been waiting years for this movie, now its getting screwed up. I agree, I don't want a break dancing Duke.
