Singer's answer? Well, let's just say it was maddeningly vague.
"At the moment I can't really talk about that," said Singer. "I wish I could. From my perspective I'm going to take a brief pause. Valkyrie has taken a long time so I'm going to take a pause. A movie like that takes some time to do right. That's all I can say about that."
Singer was, however, able to relate a cute anecdote about a dinner meeting he had with the director of another of Warner Brother's superhero properties - Christopher Nolan, the director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
"We had dinner, and [Marvel Studios founder] Avi Arad ran into us. Isn't that strange? It was such a moment," Singer said. "The three of us were just sitting there thinking, 'Isn't this bizarre?' I should have called [Spider-Man director Sam] Raimi up and said, 'We've got sushi. Get over here!'"
Superman: Man of Steel comes to theaters June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

Routh confirmed Brainiac.
And I think it's time to announce who the f is writing the script already. Singer was good directing Supes, just leave him out of the story aspect. He was terrible with telling a story, and please keep the entire cast of supporting characters or pull a TDK and recast Lois Lane. Other than that and the fact that they want to make this one darker, I think this one will be way better than "Returns." I agree with VISIONARY however.

I'm getting really sick of all these articles teasing us about superman. None of them are definite answers to what the hell is happening with the Supes franchise. Confirm something for the love of whatever God. It's starting to get like a game of Clue. I want the Mark Millar epic

I know I know, but it's the Fanboy Impetus, and it is ever-present.
...Mxzptlk.
JK, but I do wish they would publish something definitive about whether or not the movie is happening. At least we know that Singer and Nolan were having a meal together. Now, who could have set that up?

Great, another anemic "news story" whose thread will quickly devolve into an ad nauseam Superman Returns sux/new villian speculation thread that flames out into the 010010010 ether...

The Narrator: The Better Man
Millers reboot idea, is in the works. remember, he said he's working with a secret big action film director. So hope its in the works. Singer wasn't bad. I kinda like returns. And PhxtonyMex, your boycotting Transformers 2?!

Yes, Mark Millar's vision sounds pretty good.
Better than Singer's bloody romance and kids themes...
Or, I reckon Kingdom Come The Movie
There's an older more mature Superman

this sounds good. I will give superman a chance if singer doesn't directs. But if he comes back I will boycott this movie like I'm boycotting transformers sequel.
It sounds like the producers are looking fir something else.
