Is Brett Ratner Directing Conan?

It appears that a reboot of a famed 80s film series may have found its new director. Ain't It Cool News has received word that Brett Ratner will be directing the reimagining of Conan.

Of course, this isn't official and hasn't been confirmed with the studio as of yet. Howard McCain and Dirk Blackman have already signed on as the screenwriters, although no cast is set yet.

We'll be sure to update you on this new story as soon as more information filters in.

Conan the Barbarian was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.

    i didn't "love" X3, i thought it was ok. but he just isn't good enough to make these type of movies. it was very easyto X3 a great movie, the hard work was already done with 1 + 2 thanks to Singer. how on earth he got so much wrong with it is beyond me. but as a manic X-Men fan, i just have to like it. :)
