It appears that this web rumor was true after all. According to Video Business, it appears that the previously reported DVD and Blu-Ray street date of September 30 for Iron Man has been confirmed.

Amazon.com is currently taking pre-orders for this release, in three different versions. A single-disc edition will be released for $34.99 SRP, a two-disc special edition will be avaliable for $39.99 SRP and the two-disc Blu-Ray edition will also be priced at $39.99 SRP. Keep in mind, Paramount has not officially announced this release as of yet and no cover art or special features details have been released, but we'll surely keep you posted on this huge release.

In other Iron Man-related DVD news, the Marvel folks will be handing out flash drives containing a sneak peek at this DVD title at their booth at Comic-Con this week, and we'll be sure to let you know what's on that when we hit the convention floor.

Iron Man was released May 2nd, 2008 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Leslie Bibb, Shaun Toub, Faran Tahir, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.
