Iron Man 3 seeking 1,000 extras in North Carolina
"Received an email this morning. Iron Man 3 will use about 1,000 extras during the film and there will be over 550 crew jobs and will be shooting from May 2012 until January 2013 with a Memorial Day weekend release in 2013."
Our report from October indicated that the sequel will begin moving into the North Carolina studio in early 2012, though now we know exactly when shooting will begin. Premier Casting is looking for men, women, and children of all ages, shapes, and sizes for the shoot. Iron Man 3 comes to theaters May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Jessica Chastain, James Badge Dale. The film is directed by Shane Black.
