Ben Kingsley to play villain in Iron Man 3
The character Ben Kingsley will play has not been revealed, but sources are adamant that the Oscar-winning actor will not be playing fan favorite villain Mandarin. It is known that the persona he will take on is somehow tied into nanobot technology, and that he will be working against, not with, Tony Stark in this third chapter of the popular franchise.
Shane Black is writing the screenplay alongside Drew Pearce. Robert Downey Jr. will once again portray Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) for the fourth time, and Scarlett Johansson is expected to return as The Black Widow. The plot is rumored to revolve around the use of nanobots to replicate the super serum used to turn Steve Rogers into Captain America.
Iron Man 3 was released May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale. The film is directed by Shane Black.

Guys, he won't be playing Mandarin. Given the plot synopsis surrounding the Extremis virus, and the fact that Shane Black said IM3 would be about him facing a real-world, tech-based villain, Mandarin is pretty much out. And I like that.

@thedude-abides I think it's funny that you know it's coming, have time to prepare for it, and yet still dread it like an unforeseen plague, lol
As for the story, Kingsley's addition made me hopeful that this signifies a more plot driven film, but I am reminded of Prince Of Persia, so I am not quite sure what to think yet.
