Iron Man 2 pulls in $52 Million on Friday
The film is a hit with fans and critics alike, and strong word of mouth may push these figures up as the weekend moves forward. Iron Man 2 opened in 4,380 screen across the U.S. on Friday, with the film pulling in $7.5 million from its Thursday midnight screenings alone. This marked the widest release of any film in Hollywood history. The film opened even earlier overseas, and has made a worldwide gross of $190 million thus far. Iron Man 2 was released May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.

movie was decent. not as good as the first, but it would be hard to top the first movie. I'll definitely be seeing this again in theaters/buying it the first day it's out on DVD

125 mins of nonstop action and fun. The only thing I can pick was the ending fight with Mickey Rourke, it last only about 2 mins..bit short to finish a villain !

That's awesome. Numbers are not what they should be these days because our economy sucks. Most people simply don't go see movies as much as they used to. Of course if it's a huge movie like Avatar or The Dark Knight, which both had some major buzz, then sure. Most people I know just wait for DVDs. I went and saw this on Friday, however. I only see on average 4 movies in theaters per year anymore, but even so, I still don't understand why people are criticizing the story aspect, and saying there was too much going on. I didn't think so. The story made perfect sense, and there wasn't that much going on at all. It was one big story arc, everything tied together nicely.
