Inside Man 2 Still Moving Forward?

It seems that a long-thought-dead sequel might have some life left in it still. MTV Movies Blog caught up to director Spike Lee at the Sundance Film Festival, and the filmmaker revealed that a sequel for Inside Man is still moving forward.

The sequel was originally going to be written by the first film's writer, Russell Gerwitz, a script which involved Clive Owen's criminal crew partaking in a diamond heist, but now it seems Terry George (Hotel Rwanda) has taken over the writing duties.

"I got an email from Terry George yesterday," Lee said. "He just finished-he's at the end of the first act."

Apparently Lee has Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and Chiwetel Ejiofor all set to reprise their roles in the sequel, and he could possibly start shooting this year.

"If the script is up to snuff, we'll be shooting it," he says. "Here's the thing: if everything lines up-people's schedules are open, [we'll begin in] late summer, early fall."

Inside Man was released March 24th, 2006 and stars Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, Christopher Plummer, Willem Dafoe, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Carlos Andrés Gómez, Kim Director. The film is directed by Spike Lee.

And I'm straight so the answer is no Killerman. Maybe you should come out of the closet since your f*ggy thing was random as hell. What's on your mind huh huh huh? Maybe you could talk to moviemaniac, I'm sure he'd be helpful enough to talk you through the steps :)

Inside man was a brilliant movie how lee depicts different races in one film, how all the plans go together, great cinematography, I'm sure you'll appreciate the film if you watch it again and realize these points.

Yeah i remember that one something about there being no African American people in 'Flags Of Our Fathers' when there were and also there were only few African Americans that fought in the war and 'Flags of Our Fathers' wasn't based on them, Eastwood likes historical accuracy.

QT is a auteur (he has his own unique style of filmmaking) and by that a creative auteur director whose only original film so far has been Pulp Fiction.
All his others films rip or reference to other stuff too much. But as he said once
"I steal from every movie ever made. "

But for a guy that rip from other flms he makes some kick ass films which make great discussions in the terms of their auteurism.

I agree with you Ottley. Lee does blurt out some stupid sh*t, like his comments about Eastwood being a racist. I personally dislike him for dissing Quentin Tarantino.

Hmmmm I haven't seen all of Inside Man, but i'll get to it it apparently a good film from what i've heard.

Spike Lee i define as a either you love his films or you hate them, like wise for the guy himself.
I say that because i believe he should keep his racial and ethnicity judgements to himself, rather than blurting them out and making himself look stupid

Some of his films are quite crappy but he has done some really excellent movies like Get On The Bus, He Got Game & Malcom X

Actually, i did get it. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean they don't understand it. I loved Swordfish. Thought it was fantastic. John Travolta is my favorite actor. Your also a f*ggy, so please don't discuss my balls, bitch. You suck your dad's everyday. So i know that's all you really have on your mind. Don't get upset with people just because they disliked something you liked. Nough said.

Inside Man was very clever Killerman, you just didn't get it. You were probably scratching your head and your balls at the same time throughout the entire film. "This movie sucks, it doesn't have any boobies or action scenes" .

the first was very original, and made perfect sense. Or are you people to stupid to understand an easy heist movie?
And killerman, I am not surprised you don't like Lee. Many people don't. But don't judge his movies because of him.

I hated Inside Man. To tell you the truth, i never liked one of Lee's movies. They were just terrible. How did this guy get so famous. Hard to believe it's from being a director.

is Spike Lee so desperate for money that he is going to make a sequel to a half descent movie? This movie doesnt even have any original thought to it. bring clive owen back so he can rob something, and denzel can investigate it. Good job maybe they might have an orignial idea for the third moive.
