Inception may be converted to 3D for a new 3D Blu-ray release
"I didn't want to convert, but Warner Bros. showed me how far conversions have come. You've got Chris Nolan doing Inception, converting the DVD, you've got Harry Potter being converted, Star Wars being converted, so the conversion process has improved dramatically in the past two years."
There was a report from September which indicated Warner Bros. was considering a 3D conversion of Inception for HBO's upcoming 3D channel. However, this is the first we're hearing about a 3D Blu-ray conversion for Inception.
This hasn't been confirmed by Warner Bros. as of yet.
Inception was released July 16th, 2010 and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

The HBO trailer has got me pumped to see it again...I only caught it once in theaters, so I can't wait. Whathat a perfect choice of songs to use ("Without You" by Junip) too...the song fit so well with the way they edited the footage together.
Does anyone know if the rumors of HBO eventually having Inception in 3D on their new 3D channel are true? Any idea when we might see that happen?

Thers no way this gets converted to 3D. Nolan has already said he's not a fan of 3D.

With the visuals in this film I would think that a 3D version would be amazing! If the conversion has improved that much in 2 years then it should be really awesome by the time I can ever afford a big 3D television to watch it on.

although Nolan has been making some of the best films in recent memory, I think that this is a terrible idea. Sorry, but i think that 3-D should only be in kid films and animated films.

This is a very interesting development as Nolan has been notoriously against the conversion process. If he is seeing something that makes him ok with turning his very original baby into a 3D blu-Ray....well, they must have showed him something really fantastic.
I am not a fan of this idea but if Nolan ok's it then i suppose i will support him. The man has given us some of the best movies over the past several years so i WANT to have faith. Crosses fingers.
