Idris Elba confirms his return as Heimdall in Thor 2
We reported last week that actress Jaimie Alexander confirmed she will return as Sif in Thor 2, alongside Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston. Idris Elba also spoke briefly about Pacific Rim, which is currently shooting in Toronto.
"I'm going back tomorrow morning. I've been up there for five months, and I love it. (Director) Guillermo (del Toro) is a genius, and the film we're making is a huge film. It's a mad monster movie, robots, and me."
Thor 2 comes to theaters November 15th, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Idris Elba. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.
Pacific Rim comes to theaters May 10th, 2013 and stars Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Clifton Collins Jr., Ron Perlman. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro.

More interested in his involvement in Pacific Rim than if he'll pop up as an extra in Thor again. I liked the Thor film, it was a lot of fun- and certainly better than Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America- but It took me a while to remember who this guy was.

btw i like many hollywoods movies but just a few ones are decent ... idris elba common if u want to make folk culture about ur blood line or whatever play chaka zulu .. o maybe hollywood think that is better get a asian or latino for this play. crazy , or maybe i wrong in all this. i don't blame this actor . sure this film is hard for him is he get surrounded by vikings someday...

color ? race culture , history is so much about that the problem is that comic take the norse european religion, paganism, as a joke in that film. and so many films in this last decade , common everyone is sad to see how this issue is destroying our own culture and the kids are growing without any right way to understand our history and roots. hollywood just want to make money selling the soul of our identidy as nothing . if we are here is bcuz we have the knowledge of our ancestors and old culture. knowledge is power. lies just bring disorder and chaos
