Ice Cube Is Not B.A. Baracas

The upcoming big screen adaptation of the hit NBC series The A-Team is moving along quite quickly. According to Variety, recently announced director John Singleton is now casting for the film.

Ice Cube was rumored to be up for the Mr. T role of B.A. Baracas. Fox has now denied this, saying it would be nice but Cube's busy schedule has made his participation an impossibility. The rapper/actor is currently working on his own adaptation of the hit TV show Welcome Back, Kotter.

The A-Team updates the original series, this time revolving around a group of Iraq vets wanted by the U.S. military for a crime they didn't commit. The plot will revolve around oil tycoons and laser technology. No shooting date has been set at this time.

The A-Team was released June 11th, 2010 and stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley, Patrick Wilson, Gerald McRaney, Henry Czerny. The film is directed by Joe Carnahan.
