Hugh Jackman, Hugo Weaving and Ryan Kwanten Are the Guardians of Ga'Hoole

The Daily Telegraph has revealed that Hugh Jackman, Hugo Weaving (The Lord Of The Rings films) and Ryan Kwanten (HBO's True Blood) are lending their voices for director Zack Snyder's animated adventure Guardians of Ga'Hoole.

Based on the series of children's books by Kathryn Lasky, the Warner Bros. feature film is set in the Forest of Tyto, where Barn Owls live in peace until their kingdom is threatened by an evil that could destroy their home.

Production is underway at the Sydney-based studios Animal Logic (the people responsible for Happy Feet), and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 30, 2010.

Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole was released September 24th, 2010 and stars Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Essie Davis, Adrienne DeFaria, Joel Edgerton, Deborra-Lee Furness, Sacha Horler, Bill Hunter. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

    Yo Soylent, he used slo mo in Dawn of the Dead, it's always been his "signature." He just upped the ante with it in 300.

    I'll be anticipating this because Snyder's directing. Can't wait to see what he does with animation

    What i love about Snyder is as a director he is extremely faithfull to the original source material whether you loved or hated 300 doesn't matter it is a perfect example of a director being able to be trusted with an already established franchise. I look forward to an original work by Snyder this is shaping up to be the very film to silence the naysayers

    With Snyder as director, the film is sure to be epic, based on his past success with 300. Only time will tell whether he continues his reign of success with the upcoming Watchmen. And I'm going out on a limb here, but I can pretty well anticipate and predict that Watchmen will be excellent and worth the wait. Having read all the books, this is one film adaptation that will be suitable for the screen and will entertain adults and children. The greatest strength and appeal of the series is its storyline, and if executed well, the film could be a success.
