Huge 'Man of Steel' Spoiler Hints at the Future of the Franchise

Zack Snyder tells you where you should be looking during a key moment in his upcoming DC Comics adventure.
Man of Steel has screened for the critical masses, and director Zack Snyder is spending the weekend discussing his Superman reboot with journalists. If you want to stay spoiler free, turn away now. But if you want to find out about a very cool hidden Easter Egg that holds possible ramifications for Man of Steel 2, continue reading.

Zod blows up a billionaire's satellite in Man of Steel
Zod blows up a billionaire's satellite in Man of Steel
While some avid fans consider it a sport to look for hidden imagery and objects that tie various franchises together under one roof, Zack has offered a hint as to where one very key logo can be found. And it may have profound affects on a possible sequel.

Those who have long clamored for a Batman/Superman big screen team up may soon get there wish, as the Wayne Enterprises logo does appear in this film. Eagled eyed viewers will want to stay focused on one of the satellites that General Zod destroys during the course of the movie.

Zack Snyder explains to Collider.

"The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys. I don't know [if this means they'll team up]. Everything is interesting at this point. And don't forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what..."

Is this a subtle way to set up Justice League? Will a new Bruce Wayne make an appearance in Man of Steel 2? Might we even see a cameo from Christian Bale in the next movie? Surely something interesting and exciting is afoot for the DC Comics movie universe. The verdict on Man of Steel is still out, though, as reviews are currently under embargo.

Man of Steel was released June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Harry Lennix, Richard Schiff. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

@undeadslayer4 How would it be realistic since Superman is from another planet ?

@themoviefanatic that still doesnt mean it can still be not realistic

I pretty much like with what Nolan did with The Dark Knight trilogy except for the transformation of Gotham City. I didn't like the fact that he dummied down the look excessively from Batman Begins to TDKR. I mean he went from a vast/huge city with all the mystic, and by the time we got to the last film it was plain ole Pittsburgh as the backdrop? Didn't like it, and I thought to myself "What the hell is Nolan doing?" SMH I hoping Snyder doesn't go the same route!

@Dorian-Saunders The Dark Knight trilogy when it comes to having to do with the character Batman(A Human on Earth with a Bat-like suit that he made), compared to Man of Steel when it comes to having to do with Superman(An alien from another planet). The Dark Knight Trilogy is definitely too realistic unlike Man of Steel.

Those saying the current Dark Knight Trilogy is too realistic to Support the Man Of Steel Franchise have no imagination, and I'm glad you have nothing to do with the making of the movie.

@undeadslayer4 What I mean is that its not going to be as realistic as Batman/Nolan movies, because Superman is from another planet and Batman is from earth.

@Kill-Bill Yes, I think that the Dark Knight Trilogy Universe is too realistic. I don't think that the Man of Steel movie seems too realistic which I like it that way, because it has Superman and other characters that are from other planets which make it less realistic.

The optimistic side of me is saying that in a couple of years when Nolan has nothing to do and (hopefully MOSTEEL is a huge success) he sees that people are dying for a Batman/Superman team-up, that he wont be able to contain himself. "He finished his Batman story" is what he's always said. Now mayb he will want to make a Batman Superman story. It's one of WB most successful franchises man I mean cmon. With this lil easter egg...mAyb we'll get our wish of seeing Bale back because lets face it...he was the best Batman in manys opinion. I know this is what I want...I dont want Batman rebooted...not yet anyway. plus think about it...Aliens and all the sh*t happening in Metropolis might be enough to draw Bruce out of the shadows once more...

@themoviefanatic Dark Knight Trilogy Universe is very realistic. Extraterristrial lifeforms doesn't fit in it. If they reboot the frachise it's also easy to connect the movies. You can give characters other origins. For example Poison Ivy's powers can come from a meteorite.

@Gean-Effin-Reyes Wow. I thought I finally found a comments section on the Internet where people are at least a little more nice to each other and just have mature debates on movie/TV related happenings. People are screwing it up here too. I mean, come on, I don't really agree with @ObiWanShinobi 's ideas myself, but I disagree RESPECTFULLY. He's entitled to his opinion, but I'm no more right than he is. Stop being an a-hole here or go trolling somewhere else.

I wouldn't put too much stock into this. Remember in Batman and Robin, Batman drops a line about Superman and Gotham was mentioned in Superman Returns, but neither of those went anywhere. They're gonna have to do a little better than that.

@Gean-Efin-Reyes Dude it's just a theory, why are you being a dick? TDK & TDKR are 8 years apart. As we see in the Man of Steel, Superman showcases his powers like twice before he becomes Superman. While Bruce is recovering from the TDK, he could of heard about what happened at Smallville when Clark saved that Oil Plant or whatever from that huge fire in the trailers, with him being the world's greatest detective he'd figure out he's an alien. When Superman picks him up and takes him to Gotham, he wouldn't be surprised, already knowing about his existence. There's an eight year gap between TDK and rises they could incorporate SOMETHING in there to bring it all together. For all we know the events of Man Of Steel could take place between that eight year gap. And while the events o TDKR happens, they could have a scene where Superman asks to help or whatever and Batman denies, even though Supes ends up helping him twice, creating sort of a conflict that could play out in Justice League. These are all just ideas, so don't bash me man.

    Or just reboot it.

It's hard to let go and I do realize that, however it can be said for any superhero, especially the ones we love so much. Sam Raimi's Spiderman, it's really hard to let it go and I don't want to. That's one of the reasons why I think Webb really needs to up his game, too many people just didn't like his first film.
As for Batman - a reboot will happen.

@WalterWhite I attended an actors workshop and was asked to portray a character from one of Nolan's Batman films and I picked a certain clown. Afterward, I looked at the rest of the class and they clapped.
If I was given another chance, I would take it.

@ObiWanShinobi@Watson Mcflyy Thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard... It doesnt make sense. You cant possibly believe the writers would ever come up with that lame excuse to incorporate Bale into a JL movie. They need to make a reboot. You cant just say Superman and Batman met one day, and expect Bruce Wayne to act non-chalant about an extra-terrestrial encounter! Watch TDKR, and try to imagine that Batman met Superman, and are such friends that SUperman saves his life twice, but would NEVER show up in the movie? Doesnt make sense! Batman would be so worried about the fact that there are aliens, that he couldnt care less of what Baney-waney was doing...

Don't wanna take out C. Bale's acting skills but I think that as long as it's Nolan doing the movie we'll still enjoy Batman
will take time to get used with the new face using his mantel but the moment we let go Bale we'll enjoy others.
I believe he was the one to say that didn't wanna do it anymore rich?

Won't be JGL or Bale. They're going to reboot the whole thing.Meaning a new Bats will be introduced.Don't get me wrong I'd love to see Bale return but I don't see it happening. The Dark Knight Trilogy is over.Time to move on.Those films served their purpose by giving us a beginning, middle & a fitting conclusion.Plus another reason they won't be connected is a simple one.The Joker.Joker HAS to be a part of the DCU & with Heath gone it will never happen. Now you guys can say recast him.But seriously who the hell is going to top Heath's performance as Mr.J (Not saying it can't be done just saying it will be hard to).In conclusion we are getting a new Batman. =)

@ObiWanShinobi I have a feeling that Joseph Gordon Levitt returning, and taking the role as Batman from Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne character would not work. If anything, the way The Dark Knight Rises had ended led me to believe that in a Justice League movie, Christian Bale's character Bruce Wayne will return as Batman and Joseph Gordon Levitt's character would either return to play the role of Robin or Nightwing.

Alright well. There's been major plot holes in TDKR but i think with the right writer they could fill in those holes. There was a lot of criticism as to how Bruce got back to Gotham after he was taken half way across the world. They can incorporate Superman by having him come pick up Bruce and fly him back to Gotham. When Superman asks him if he needs help Bruce is all like, "No, I have to do this on my own". I can imagine Batman saying that. Another plot hole is how the f*ck did Bruce get out of the Batwing before it exploded. This can be explained as Superman didn't want him to sacrifice himself as he was needed for the Jutice League or whatever and he saved him. With this we could forget about that ridiculous auto pilot excuse they used. Superman leaves Bruce to think as he's away with Catwoman, as shown at the end of TDKR but Bruce will ultimately realize that he'd have to take up the mantle as his services would be required.

Or they could just have Joseph Gordon Levitt play Batman in the New JLA which i think no one wants, I know i don't. OR JGL could be like Batman Beyond and protect Gotham, while Bruce returns as Batman and moves on to bigger things for the time being while he's away from gotham with the justice league, saving the world/universe. With the write writer this sh*t could honestly work.
