Howard Deutch Directing Possum Trot Cloggers

Accoridng to Variety, New Line's greenlighting Julia Fowler's Possum Trot Cloggers comedy with Howard Deutch directing and Tony Bill, Helen Bartlett and Diane Sokolow producing.

Fowler's script revolves around a woman who's thrown off a clogging dance team by her two-timing boyfriend-coach. She then scrapes together a ragtag team to compete for the national clogging championship, finding love along the way.

The story's set in Fowler's hometown of Gaffney, S.C., where she's been a championship-level clogger.
