The film, which looks at the interesting political relationship between newly installed British Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s, will start shooting July 20 in London.
Dennis Quaid will be playing President Clinton, Michael Sheen will be Prime Minister Blair and Helen McCrory is Cherie Blair.
Oscar-nominated writer Peter Morgan wrote the film. He had wanted to direct it but now those duties will be handled by Richard Loncraine.
The Special Relationship was released in 2011 and stars Michael Sheen, Dennis Quaid, Helen McCrory, Hope Davis, Adam Godley, Chris Wilson, Lara Pulver, Robert Roman Ratajczak. The film is directed by Richard Loncraine.
