Hilary Swank is developing a remake of Patrice Leconte's mystery/drama, Intimate Strangers for Paramount Pictures; she's looking to star and produce.

The film is the story of a woman who believes she is going to visit her new shrink but really ends up baring her soul to an accoutant, says Variety.

Kelly Fremon will write the script; no director has been hired on the Intimate Strangers remake.

Intimate Strangers was released July 30th, 2004 and stars Sandrine Bonnaire, Fabrice Luchini, Michel Duchaussoy, Anne Brochet, Gilbert Melki, Laurent Gamelon, Hélène Surgère, Urbain Cancelier. The film is directed by Patrice Leconte.
